I survived!

If you would have asked me if I ever wanted more kids on Sunday I most definitely would have said NO! My mom went home last Friday, and I was fully prepared to handle the transition on my own to taking care of both kids. Just my luck I developed mastitis Friday night and had nausea, fever, dizziness, pain....the works. This lasted all night Friday and all day Saturday. Finally after getting a fever of 104 we decided to hit up Urgent Care. A couple IV's full of antibiotics, and multiple pain killers later I was feeling a little bit better. Pacer has been a really good sleeper, but I think the antibiotics upset his stomach. So after a couple nights of little to no sleep I was beyond overwhelmed with the idea of getting back to the real world on Monday with babysitting and piano. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that postpartum blues got me good and I probably cried at least 5 times on Monday. Who does that? Anyway everyday got a little bit better and a little bit easier. Not that the kids were tough, I think it was just being sick. I had a head cold on top of it all. I'm just grateful for a good husband who helped take care of the kids and a good ward who brought in dinners all week. Here are some fun pictures of the week. Pacer looks so grown up in this one. It is a funny picture.

Can you find the baby? So Josh picked out the material and I made the cover for our carseat. I meant to post pictures months ago when I made it, but it looks better now with a baby in it anyway.
I think this picture pretty much sums up how the week went with Brooklyn.

oh Brooklyn! I am glad you are feeling better and you had people to take care of you. Pacer is so cute! And he does look older in that pic. I think he looks older anytime he is awake, he is so aware of everyhthing, Landon was like that. We need to get together during the day and just hang :) When are you going to post your baby pic?

What an incredible week! You are so strong! I hope I am half as ready as you were to have a baby... let alone take care of TWO kids! I feel so overwhelmed with the thought of just one. :)

Pacer looks like he is in deep thought in that top picture. We all know where the brains come from. :) Brooklyn is the cutest you can ship her over to me anytime...and Pacer too as soon as he is weaned. :)

Booklyn is so funny. You poor thing. I think I had masticitis once with Sydney, but maybe not as bad as you. I just stood in the shower and milked myself two-three times a day. That seemed to really help. That first pic of Pacer looks like Sariahs kids.

I'm sorry you had such a hard time! It's never any fun being sick- especially when you have a new born & 2 year old, I'm sure! Glad to hear you're feeling better though (emotionally & physically) :)

Isn't it funny how each family sees something different. When I looked at the first picture of Pacer I saw a darker Travis. Of course I always thought Travis looked like he should be one of mine. I am glad you are feeling better. I wish I would've been there for you when you were sick. It is hard to be a mom when you don't feel good. Love Ya.

Pacer is so cute! I just love his hair. I totally know how you must have felt. I was crying 4 days after Drew was born because Justin left to go to the store and he was gone for like an hour and a half and Dean was still not thrilled with the idea that we had another baby in the house and was being a total brat and then some ladies from my ward showed up with dinner and all 3 kids were crying and I was crying it was horrible! But it does get better :) If I would have known you knew how to make the car seat covers I wouldn't have spent A LOT of money buying one! Did you just do it by looking at it or do you have a pattern? It is way cute! I love the material
